If you need to cancel or change a lesson please give us 48 hours notice to avoid a late cancellation fee (2024 late cancellation fee is £20.00 for an hour’s lesson / £40.00 for a two hour lesson). All late cancellations must be charged to continue a viable business.

All lessons must start and finish within 15 minutes drive (verified by Apple Maps) of instructors home location unless agreed by instructor prior to the lesson.

If a learner repeatedly cancels lessons (twice) within the 48 hours limit, or repeatedly does not attend for the lesson the full hourly rate will be charged. If we have to cancel a lesson for any reason we will always arrange an alternative time for your lesson. No refunds of block bookings will be made for unused / unwanted lessons (unless as a gesture of goodwill from the driving school and in that event a £25 administration fee will be deducted from any monies refunded. Used lessons will be deducted at standard hourly rate. Allow 28 days from our receipt for refund). Gift Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from date of issue, no refunds can be made for unused / unwanted lessons. The practical driving test requires a two hour chargeable lesson.

Please allow up to 15 minutes from the start time of your lesson for your instructor to arrive, due to traffic conditions. If your instructor is delayed further we will attempt to contact you. If we arrive for a lesson but you are not there we will also wait 15 minutes.

In the event of severe snow or other severe weather conditions, we will attempt to contact you prior to the lesson to discuss if the lesson can be conducted safely.

Driving lesson fees will increase on the 6th April each year (or with 7 days notice at other times / exceptional circumstances) and rates will be posted on this website.

Your instructor will at all times behave in a professional manner towards clients. Clients will be treated with respect and consideration. The instructor will try to avoid physical contact with a client except in an emergency or in the normal course of greeting. Whilst reserving the right to decide against giving tuition, the instructor will not act in any way which contravenes legislation or discrimination.

Your instructor is a fully qualified Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor. Your instructor has a current CRB certificate.

All trainees (customers) must be in possession of a provisional driving licence on commencement of training, and must satisfy the eyesight requirement. If you receive any endorsements on your licence during private practice please inform us. If you have a medical condition that could effect your driving please inform us.

Your instructor will advise you when to apply for the theory and practical driving tests. We will inform you when to book your practical test (which is when your driving is approaching the required standard). Booking the practical driving test does not mean that your driving is already at test standard. Please continue regular lessons as your test approaches. If customers book tests, please check with instructor first and always use my Adi reference when booking to avoid test clashes. If tests do clash with another learner/ customer then whoever booked first retains the test appointment.

The instructor will not cancel or re-arrange a driving test or lesson without first discussing the reasons with the client. In the event of the instructor’s decision to withhold the use of the school car for the driving test, sufficient notice will be given to the client to avoid loss of the DVSA test fee. The instructor will at all times, to the best of their ability, endeavour to teach the client correct driving skills according to the DVSA’s recommended syllabus. We are committed to protecting your data and only hold data required to do our daily work. No data will ever be sold.

If the driving instructor feels the learner has not reached a driving standard that is safe to do a driving test the driving school car will be withheld until the learner’s driving reaches a safe standard. Taking a driving test does not mean the learner will necessarily pass. By having driving lessons you are agreeing to our terms of service.
