About Us
Lightning School of Motoring was founded by Mark Jaques who has over 25 years experience as an approved driving instructor. Mark began his working career working within the civil service. As Mark always loved car’s and driving he decided to train to become a professional driving instructor. Driving tuition soon became Marks full time employment. Mark has always worked as an independent driving instructor regulated by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). In mid March 2024 Mark decided to make Lightning School of Motoring the first Fully Electric Driving School in Rotherham (Automatic driving lessons).
Mark is graded by the DVSA as a Grade A instructor.
We can teach drivers of any standard ranging from complete beginners to drivers nearing test standard. We are also registered for Pass Plus training and are happy to do post test motorway and advanced driving lessons.
